See küla nimega Lillehammer /This village called Lillehammer

Lillehammer võib olla üks igavamaid linnakesi, kuhu elama sattuda/tulla. See on unine väikelinn, mida naljaga pooleks saab lausa külaks nimetada.

Igav võib see linnake olla, kuid samas on nad ääretult tublid korraldama erinevaid üritusi, mis mõeldud just linnaelanikele.

Lillehammer can probably be one of the most boring places for living, it is a small town, village-like, with its routines and traditions. Not much is happening here, I have lived all toghether here 4 years and it is a sleepy town with sleepy people. But there is still a certain charm that invites people back here.

Especially on Christmas time. This little sleepy town is a real Christmas town and if I didn´t know that Santa Claus lives in Rovaniemi, I would be sure he lives here in this town. It is a winterwonderland. And as you maybe know there is not much snow in Estonia lately and there are even places in Norway where snow is something you see on the photos, but in Lillehammer there is always lots and lots of snow. And it is always cold. Last time when I came to Lillehammer, it was 0 degrees C in Stockholm, but 20 degrees below zero here. Yep, it is cold!

What I like about this town that they are very good in having different traditions and events, not for tourists, but for  people living in this town. And what could be nicer for tourists than suddenly take part of a Christmas street opening and Santa Claus walk, where I think all town participated. It is a lovely tradition.

If you are planning to visit Lillehammer, I suggest you to do this in wintertime. This small town breaths totally differently when covered in deep deep snow. It is the Arendelle of Norway, only that the gates are opened.
